Verizon Voyager

Verizon Voyager Features

Looks Matter
Style makes a difference and the LG Voyager is sleek, stylish, attractive and we’ll even dare to say sexy. The crisp black body and silver lining have a great balance between elegance and simplicity as the phone’s main attraction is the large touch screen display.

Touch Screen Display
The crystal clear touch screen display that is large enough to accommodate quick navigation without your fingers feeling chlostraphobic. The touch screen’s response time is quiet quick, providing a nearly seamless navigation experience. Tapping anywhere on the screen brings up a shortcut menu that you can use to navigate every part of the phone’s capabilities.

Shortcut Menu
This clear overview of the Voyager’s applications allows users to easily access the features they want to use directly from the phone’s main page. These options are:

  • Voice Command
  • Blue Tooth
  • TXT Message
  • Calculator
  • Alarm Clock
  • Calendar
  • Camera
  • My Pictures
  • My Music
  • VZ Navigator
  • Browser
  • Mobile TV

Below these options are 4 “home keys” that remain on the bottom of the touch screen even while you navigate to other areas: Messaging, Menu, Calls and Contacts.

Now let’s dive into some of these applications…

Applications
The Voyager is equipped with all of Verizon’s V CAST services wich give you instant access to a Music Store and Mobile TV. A handful of new music file types are now compatible with the Voyager including unprotected AACs. A brand new A-GPS navigator system uses the VZNavigator application to provide mapping and on-the-fly directions with voice interaction.

Standard functions like the calendar and calculator work similarly to previous Verizon models such as the enV but the graphical display, fonts and overall look and feel make working within the boundaries of the phone an absolute pleasure.

Camera
Located on the back of the Voyager, the camera has a ton of options to help you take the best pictures, including auto-focus. The touch screen display is not only used as a view finder but you can use the touch screen features to optimize your pictures with various options such as brightness, contrast and focusing. One of the phone’s few downfalls is that the camera doesn’t have a flash.

Web Browsing
The Voyager is equipped with a full HTML browser meaning you can navigate your favorite websites just as if you were on a regular computer. The touch screen navigation and full QWERTY keyboard make exploring the internet on your phone a much more enjoyable task.

Exterior Buttons/Controls
On the left side of the phone you will find the camera button, a lock button and plus/minus buttons to slide options such as audio volume or camera zoom. On the right side of the Voyager is the slot for the 8GB microSD memory card and headset jack. The data port (where you charge your phone) is found on the bottom of the phone and the 2 megapixel digital camera is on the back.

Directly below the touch screen are three buttons: Send, Clear and Power/End. When the phone is being used, these buttons light up and using the End key you can return to the main menu from virtually any location - a nice touch.
